What is the Delamere Dash?
The Delamere Dash is a 6 miles trail race which takes place at Delamere Forest in Cheshire on the first weekend of the year! This well supported event takes place
entirely on forest tracks and paths and provides both a scenic and challenging route for competitors of all ability levels!
entirely on forest tracks and paths and provides both a scenic and challenging route for competitors of all ability levels! The event attracts a wide range of participants from first timers to elite runners, everyone is welcome and sure to enjoy running in Delamere's scenic surroundings.
In addition to the 6 miles trail race there is also a 1.5 miles fun run, this event is for children aged 14 and under (14 is minimum age for 6 miles trail race). Fancy dress is optional, but spot prozes will be awarded on the day for the most creative and innovative costumes!!
If you are looking to start the new year with a new regime or you are simply looking to blow away those Christmas cobwebs from your heavy turkey legs.. come along and join us at Delamere Forest!
How is the route marked?
The route will be marked with epicevents signs and plastic tape. The signs will be as shown on the right and the tape will hang from tree branches or marker stakes in the ground and will be red/white in colour. There will be marshals at critical junctions and mountain bike marshals riding the course.
What happens on the day?
1. Car parking will be at Whitefields public car park (pay and display - please bring change)
2. Collect your timing chip from the registration tent when you arrive
3. Follow the signs from the car park to the start line (across the road from Whitefields )
4. Follow the signs round the course - mile markers will be in place
5. Collect your race T-shirt at the finish line
6. Free refreshments for all competitors at Whitefields
7. Results will be available on the website by Monday at the latest
8. Prizes will be given on the day (no prizes posted out, collect on day or they roll down to next person)
9. Limited entries may be available on the day to include a £2 surcharge, last year the event filled in advance

What does my entry fee include?
1. Event T-Shirt
2. Chip timing
3. Free refreshments at the finish
4. Forest fee £3 per runner
5. Event insurance fee
How do I enter?
Entries in advance are online only, this is a 'green event' and there are no paper entry forms. If the race does not reach it's entry limit, places may be available on the day and will carry a surcharge. We do expect the event to fill in advance.

How do I know that my entry has been received?
You will receive an email within a few minutes of entering confirming your place in the event. If it doesn't appear in your inbox, try your 'junk mail' or 'spam' just in case! Your name will also appear on the list of competitors which can be found below..
